Planning and environmental approvals have been achieved through the Environmental Impact Statement and the Airport Plan, both finalised in 2016. The project will be subject to some further approvals, including under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 for the flight path design. Western Sydney Airport will deliver the airport in accordance with regulatory requirements.
